Gail is full of inspiration and a wealth of weaving knowledge. In this class you’ll learn measuring, warping, picking colors, finishing techniques, design – color and weaving for a Rigid Heddle loom. Looms can be purchased or rent to own.
In addition to the Schacht Spindle Cricket loom we are excited to welcome the Erica 4 harness table loom from Louet to the shop. Stop by and see all the beautiful projects you can make on both of these sweet little looms.

Wednesday mornings with Karen.
Karen will share with you her vast knowledge of knitting and crocheting. She makes it easy to understand your pattern and the stitches. Karen knows just how to help you add your own personal touches. You can even combine knitting and crochet. A great class for any level.

STITCH-A-LONG Thursday nights with Elissa.
It’s fun to knit or crochet with others. Thursday nights you can do that here, you can work on your project with the company of others and get help if you need it. All levels welcome.

There is no greater joy than a perfect seam and beautiful shoulders. Or how about the pleasure when you finish something and it fits and looks great. In this one night workshop learn tips on picking up stitches, sewing seams, tucking ends, and blocking with confidence.

In this class, children 6 years and older learn the basics of knitting. Bring your mom, dad or special person with you and learn together. All skill levels are welcome.

One needle, two needles or four needles. Making socks if fun! It’s easy and portable. Once you’ve mastered knitting socks you will find you can use the same technique (knitting in the round) for knitting so many other things: mittens, gloves, hats and more!

MAKING PATTERNS AND YARN WORK TOGETHER
You have found the pattern and the yarn, but it’s not the yarn the pattern calls for. In this one night class, learn the formulas needed to adjust the yarns and patterns to work together. If you have something in mind, bring it with you.

CROCHET for beginners and advanced beginners
No prior experience needed. Students receive attention to their individual needs and goals.
This 8 week class is scheduled through the Needham Adult Community Education. The next session starts January 22.

HUCK EMBROIDERY
Huck Embroidery is also known as Huck Weaving or Swedish Weaving. It was popular in the late 1940’s when homemakers used embroidery floss to decorate the borders of towels. Today, you can make afghans, baby blankets, pillows, wall hangings, table linens, Tallit and more. Our teacher, Fran, has been teaching Swedish Weaving for over 10 years. Join the “HAPPY HUCKERS” and learn this easy technique for creating one of a kind lovely heirloom pieces.

This warm and intimate group welcomes everyone for 2 hours of just hanging out and having fun working on your project. Make new friends, share new techniques and recipes, show and tell. JERI RIGGS GROUP
This pattern is based on The Incredible Top-Down Raglan by Pamela Costello, which is a recipe for knitting a top-down raglan sweater in any yarn for any size. Jeri has added her magical touches to this pattern which makes this a perfect and fun introduction to top-down sweaters for any skill level in any weight of yarn. Beginners start with the basic design. Jeri opens your mind to exploring the infinite possibilities of incorporating cables, lace or anything else possible with yarn!
To join in on this special group you must purchase your yarn and supplies at the Creative Warehouse and bring some food for the Needham Food Pantry when you come.

We are making Norah’s Vintage Afghan, shown here: Norah’s Vintage Afghan. This afghan is made up of 20 different squares. Knit each one separately then sew them together. The blanket will open your eyes to new cables, new fun! Yarn must be purchased from Creative Warehouse to participate.
